What you are buying

Stay Safe Anywhere is an information service. A plan says where to go, who to call, and how to get out, for one address. It is not the police, an ambulance, a fire service, a doctor, a lawyer, or an insurer. Nobody is waiting on the other end of this website. If you are in danger, call the local emergency number.

We never ask for a passport number, a passport scan, or any other identity document. We ask for nationality, which is the country you are a citizen of.

Prices are in US dollars and include tax. Trip Pass, up to 10 days: $15, charged once. Trip Pass, up to 31 days: $24, charged once. Membership: $59 per year. Stripe is the merchant of record through Managed Payments. Stripe calculates, collects, and remits the indirect tax. We do not store your card number.

Age

You must be 18 or over to pay. The pay step asks you to confirm that.

Starting straight away, and the 14-day right to cancel

A plan is digital content. The pay step asks you to agree that we start making it immediately, and that you lose the 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 once the plan link has been sent. If you do not agree, do not pay.

Trip Pass: until 23:59 UK time on the day before the trip start date, you can still ask for a full refund of the price paid, by using Delete my data on your plan page or by emailing hello@staysafeanywhere.com. After the trip has started, that contractual refund ends. Rights that the law does not let us take away still apply.

Membership: cancel in the Stripe customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid. We do not refund the current period, except where a right to cancel still applies because the plan link was never sent. After you cancel, the home plan stays available until that period ends. The data is deleted 30 days after the period ends.

A refund notification from Stripe revokes the plan link and deletes the personal data we hold for that order.

Renewal

A Membership renews each year at $59 until you cancel. We email a reminder at least 7 days before the renewal date, to the address on the order. In the portal you can cancel at the period end, update the payment method, see invoices, and update the email and address. The portal sends you back to https://staysafeanywhere.com/account.

Liability

Information can be wrong or out of date by the time you read it. Follow local authorities. To the extent the law allows, our liability for a claim about a plan is capped at the price you paid for that plan. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.

Deletion

Trip details and the plan file are deleted 30 days after the trip end date. You can delete them sooner on the plan page. There is no password and no account. The plan opens from a private link we email.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales decide disputes, without taking away any right you have to bring a claim in the courts of your home country.
